Ancient Ruins
A very long zone holding the Microraptor, Leviathan and Sphinx. The Hydra is the rarest Ancient Ruins animal – a Huge Ruby Hydra (1 in 105M) earns about 1.79 Sx per second.

What Ancient Ruins looks like
Broken temples and sand-buried statues.
Reaching Ancient Ruins is a big jump: the very first animal you usually catch here, the Microraptor ($1.2Qi/s), already earns about 24x a plain Imp, the best animal of Hell.

Best food for Ancient Ruins
Recommended: Lava Steak, Elder Strawberry. Food does not change how far you throw – Throw Power does – but a higher-tier food rolls rarer animals, mutations and sizes once you land here.

Tips for Ancient Ruins
- Because the zone is long, lower your throw power slider slightly to land on the outer edge when you are hunting the Hydra.
- Hunting the Hydra: land on the far edge of Ancient Ruins with your best food and save lucky throws for it. If you are already past Ancient Ruins, turn throw strength down with the gear icon.
- Move on once your throws reach Mythical Paradise (2,800 – 3,300 power) – even its commonest animal beats almost everything here.
