Where to catch the Kangaroo

The Kangaroo lives in Desert (zone 3 of 17), on the far edge of the zone. It is number 9 of 9 in the Desert index – the very top. A full-strength throw needs roughly 350 – 500 Throw Power to land in Desert.

Foods that land here: Pear ($200,000), Cheese (~$1M), Bread ($12M). A higher-tier food pushes the roll toward the rarer end of the Desert list, so the newest food you own is always the best bait.

Plain throws rarely produce the top animal of a zone. Use the best food you can afford, land the throw on the far edge of Desert, and save lucky throws for it. Already past Desert? Lower throw strength with the gear icon so the food lands here again.

Is it worth keeping?

  • A plain Kangaroo earns 38x a plain Lion, the best animal from Savannah.
  • The first animal in Jungle, the Bat, makes 3.2x as much – once your throws reach Jungle, replace it.
  • Keep it longer only if it rolled a strong mutation or size (see the table below) or you need it for the index.
