Phoenix

Where to catch the Phoenix

The Phoenix lives in Mythical Paradise (zone 13 of 17), on the far edge of the zone. It is number 6 of 6 in the Mythical Paradise index – the very top. A full-strength throw needs roughly 2,800 – 3,300 Throw Power to land in Mythical Paradise.

Foods that land here: Phoenix Fillet, Star Jelly (27 Sx). A higher-tier food pushes the roll toward the rarer end of the Mythical Paradise list, so the newest food you own is always the best bait.

Is it worth keeping?

• A plain Phoenix earns 40x a plain Sphinx, the best animal from Ancient Ruins.
• The first animal in Shadow Realm, the Black Cat, makes 2500x as much – once your throws reach Shadow Realm, replace it.
• Keep it longer only if it rolled a strong mutation or size (see the table below) or you need it for the index.

Phoenix income by mutation and size

A plain Phoenix makes $200Qi/s. Mutations and sizes multiply that number, and the two stack. The table below multiplies the plain income by the multipliers I have measured (Gold ×1.5, Diamond ×3, Emerald ×5, Ruby ×10, Rainbow ×20; Big ×2, Large ≈×4.3, Huge ≈×9, Colossal ≈×18.5, Gigantic ≈×37). Treat the size columns as estimates – real catches land a little above or below. With the 2x Cash gamepass every number doubles.

Phoenix catches I've recorded

Real catch cards. Odds are the “1 in …” number the card shows, which already includes the luck of that throw.
