Pegasus

Where to catch the Pegasus

The Pegasus lives in Mythical Paradise (zone 13 of 17), in the front part of the zone. It is number 2 of 6 in the Mythical Paradise index. A full-strength throw needs roughly 2,800 – 3,300 Throw Power to land in Mythical Paradise.

Foods that land here: Phoenix Fillet, Star Jelly (27 Sx). A higher-tier food pushes the roll toward the rarer end of the Mythical Paradise list, so the newest food you own is always the best bait.

Any throw that lands in the front part of the zone can produce it. If you are hunting it for the index, lower your throw strength with the gear icon until the food lands on that spot – distance inside a zone decides which animals can come.

Is it worth keeping?

• A plain Pegasus earns 9x a plain Sphinx, the best animal from Ancient Ruins.
• The best plain earner here is the Phoenix ($200Qi/s), 4.4x this one.
• The first animal in Shadow Realm, the Black Cat, makes 11111x as much – once your throws reach Shadow Realm, replace it.
• Keep it longer only if it rolled a strong mutation or size (see the table below) or you need it for the index.

Pegasus income by mutation and size

A plain Pegasus makes $45Qi/s. Mutations and sizes multiply that number, and the two stack. The table below multiplies the plain income by the multipliers I have measured (Gold ×1.5, Diamond ×3, Emerald ×5, Ruby ×10, Rainbow ×20; Big ×2, Large ≈×4.3, Huge ≈×9, Colossal ≈×18.5, Gigantic ≈×37). Treat the size columns as estimates – real catches land a little above or below. With the 2x Cash gamepass every number doubles.

Pegasus catches I've recorded

Real catch cards. Odds are the “1 in …” number the card shows, which already includes the luck of that throw.
