Where to catch the T-Rex
The T-Rex lives in Prehistoric Forest (zone 9 of 17), toward the back of the zone. It is number 7 of 8 in the Prehistoric Forest index, one step below the rarest. A full-strength throw needs roughly 1,500 – 1,850 Throw Power to land in Prehistoric Forest.
Foods that land here: Steak (~$1.5Qa), Royal Steak ($50Qa), Golden Apple ($120Qa). A higher-tier food pushes the roll toward the rarer end of the Prehistoric Forest list, so the newest food you own is always the best bait.
Any throw that lands toward the back of the zone can produce it. If you are hunting it for the index, lower your throw strength with the gear icon until the food lands on that spot – distance inside a zone decides which animals can come.
Is it worth keeping?
- A plain T-Rex earns 29x a plain Saber-tooth Tiger, the best animal from Winter.
- The best plain earner here is the Velociraptor ($150T/s), 1.4x this one.
- The first animal in Deep Waters, the Swordfish, makes 4.5x as much – once your throws reach Deep Waters, replace it.
- Keep it longer only if it rolled a strong mutation or size (see the table below) or you need it for the index.
T-Rex income by mutation and size
A plain T-Rex makes $110T/s. Mutations and sizes multiply that number, and the two stack. The table below multiplies the plain income by the multipliers I have measured (Gold ×1.5, Diamond ×3, Emerald ×5, Ruby ×10, Rainbow ×20; Big ×2, Large ≈×4.3, Huge ≈×9, Colossal ≈×18.5, Gigantic ≈×37). Treat the size columns as estimates – real catches land a little above or below. With the 2x Cash gamepass every number doubles.
| Mutation \ Size | Normal×1 | Big×2 | Large×4.3 | Huge×9 | Colossal×18.5 | Gigantic×37 |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Normal×1 | $110T | $220T | $473T | $990T | $2.04Qa | $4.07Qa |
| Gold×1.5 | $165T | $330T | $710T | $1.49Qa | $3.05Qa | $6.11Qa |
| Diamond×3 | $330T | $660T | $1.42Qa | $2.97Qa | $6.11Qa | $12.2Qa |
| Emerald×5 | $550T | $1.1Qa | $2.37Qa | $4.95Qa | $10.2Qa | $20.4Qa |
| Ruby×10 | $1.1Qa | $2.2Qa | $4.73Qa | $9.9Qa | $20.4Qa | $40.7Qa |
| Rainbow×20 | $2.2Qa | $4.4Qa | $9.46Qa | $19.8Qa | $40.7Qa | $81.4Qa |
T-Rex catches I've recorded
Real catch cards. Odds are the “1 in …” number the card shows, which already includes the luck of that throw.

| Diamond | 1 in 961 | $330T/s |
| Big Ruby | 1 in 400,000 | $2.22Qa/s |
| Huge | 1 in 126M | — |
